These stories wouldn’t be worth a pisang goreng (fried banana) without the hard work of others who paved the way. Like giants whose shoulders we stand on, you see. Gotta give credit where credit is due! So, a big ‘terima kasih’ (thank you) to all these brilliant minds for lighting the way and filling my head with juicy historical tidbits.

There’s websites, online journals, and newspaper articles. And books—don’t get me started on books! Stacks of ’em, filled with more knowledge than a fortune teller’s crystal ball.

Of course, I haven’t revealed all their secrets, just the good bits—the ones that make Kuala Lumpur’s history come alive! But trust me, if you follow these references, you’ll be swimming in a sea of knowledge faster than you can say ‘teh tarik’ (pulled milk tea).

Not a comprehensive list, just yet, I’ll be adding more along the next few weeks.
